Dave, Craig and Kathy

Thank-you so much for helping me realize a life long dream. I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed my six weeks learning to drive a truck with Shaun-David.
Craig, I was a little intimidated about going back to a classroom after being out of school for 30 years but your sense of humour and patience made me feel at ease right from the start. Teaching us how to back up you really showed your patience when it took a couple of days for turning the wheel right, to turn the trailer left and turn the wheel left to turn the trailer right to sink in. I already miss our talks about the morning headlines.

Dave, your patience and understanding went a long way in making me feel comfortable driving. The first couple of weeks when the gears were hard to find (they haven't moved since yesterday) or I went to far down with the clutch your reassurance that it would eventually come to me and that I wasn't the only person that couldn't get it the first time went a long way in helping me become a truck driver. I have always had the desire to drive a truck now thanks to your excellent teaching I now have the ability to go along with the desire. Don't let anybody and I mean anybody tell you that you can't teach because they are the one that don't know what they are talking about. Thank you for allowing my two daughters to come and spend an hour at the school to see what I was doing and for taking them for a ride so they would know what it feels like to ride in a truck. You are a kind decent man and it was an honour and a privilege to be taught by you.

Kathy, you made me feel right at home right from the start. Your encouragement and faith in my abilities even on the rough days when I might have doubted my abilities your kind words and pats on the back helped me realize that I could do it.

Last but not least my fellow student Chuck, you made learning to drive more enjoyable, we had some laughs and a lot of fun and I feel I made another friend.

To anyone that wants to learn how to drive a truck you have found the best so forget the rest. Sign up with Shaun-David and you will never regret it.

One last thing to anybody waiting to sign up, to get on the good side of Baxter (the mascot) all you have to do is bring a couple of dog treats a day and you will soon have a new best friend.

I am now going to put on my black cowboy hat, light up my stogie and hit the highway. I will always have a special place in my heart for everyone at Shaun-David because it didn't take long for all of you to go from being my instructors to becoming my friends.

Dear Dave, Kathy, Craig, John and Dwayne;

"WOW.....Where do I begin?"

Deciding to become a truck driver has been a dream of mine since I was a small child and now that my children are pretty much grown and able to tend to themselves, it was an awesome experience to be able to graduate from the best school around....."Shaun-David Truck Training School"!!!

Looking back, the first weekend attending the Air Brake course with Dwayne was a time of shear terror. So much to learn and memorize and wondering the whole time, "should I have taken a mechanics course first"? LOL. You're a wonderful instructor Dwayne. We all had a great time, loads of information, tests, games and a lot of laughs. I'll never forget the "governor's story". LOL. thank you very much Dwayne for your knowledge, patience and understanding and for everything that you have taught me! (Thank you as well Dwayne for taking the time out of your busy schedule to make sure that I was ready for my road test)!!

Classroom and yard work was spent with Craig....you're also a wonderful instructor buddy. Your knowledge, patience and understanding was impeccable (and god knows how I tested your sanity...lol). I am so grateful for everything that you have taught me Craig, both in the trucking industry as well as the conversations and laughs that we had that didn't have anything to do with trucking. Now that I've graduated, I'm sure that you'll be able to wear your hat on straight without having to bang your head against the wall anymore. LOL. That being said, I'll be sure to visit as frequently as I can to throw you off guard! LOL. Thank you so much Craig for everything that you have taught me!

Driving time on Monday's and Tuesday's was spent with John....poor John! I'm sure he was wondering on numerous occasions, "when is she going to get it in her head and keep it there"? LOL. I truly thank you for your knowledge, patience and understanding as well John. I know your sanity was also tested at times with me, but being a wonderful instructor that you are, you got through it. LOL. I'll never forget the laughs that we had as well and the one joke that you told me that will forever be my favorite one. Thank you so much John for everything that you have taught me!

Driving time on Wednesday's, Thursday's and Friday's was spent with Dave.....poor Dave had the most driving time with me! I'm sure he was also wondering (along with John) on numerous occasions, "when is she going to get it in her head and keep it there?" LOL. I know that your sanity was tested with me Dave and I'm really glad that you're a wonderful instructor and that you got through it as well. LOL. I truly thank you as well for your knowledge, patience and understanding. Thank you for the laughs that we had as well Dave....the joke of 2 minutes of silence that you were looking forward too was by far the best one! LOL. Thank you so much Dave for everything that you have taught me as well!

Whether or not you have a supportive mother.....Kathy fills that role when you're a student at Shaun-David. She encouraged me when I was having doubts and gave me a stern loving kick in the butt when I needed it. I'm so thankful Kathy for the reassurances and laughs that you were able to give me, especially when you and Dave were going through such a difficult time at the loss of your son Andy. Andy's passing had an affect on everyone and yet everyone was able to continue to uphold the high standards that Shaun-David Truck Training School not only preaches but actually practices. thank you so much Kathy for everything that you did for me as well dear!

I enjoyed my classmates immensely......Chuck, Bruce, James, Phil and Brad....thanks guys for the laughs, encouragements and the fact that none of you seemed bothered with a "girl" being in the group. LOL.

Overall, I had a great time! A lot of studying, hard work, times of insanity, a lot of laughs and above all....you have all become an extension of my family now. Thank you everyone for being a part of this adventure with me! There is sadness within me in knowing that I will not be seeing all of you everyday, but I want you to know that no matter where I am or what I am doing, I will remember and be thinking about all of you and all of you will be with me always.!!

I was very lucky to have a wonderful support system not only inside the school but also outside of the school as well....a special thank you to my family, my friends and especially my husband who not only supported me 100% in me following my dreams and telling me everyday that I could do it....but he also paid for the course! LOL.

Thank again everyone for your help, encouragement, support and in making it a memorable and great experience for me! May you all continue to be blessed with great health, happiness and prosperity, now and always!!

With much love and gratitude...."Wheelin' To Success".....Hugs to all of you....

As a recent graduate of SDTTS I would like to say that I had an excellent experience all the way from start to finish. At SD the instructors are not only friendly and knowledgeable professionals, they took the time needed to work with me in a one on one setting in areas in which I felt I needed assistance.

You're going to love the feeling of a family run operation that you get at SD. You will find that you are not only accomplishing the goals that you have set for yourself but that you are making friends with the people you are working with.
The greatest reward of the thorough training I received was the confidence that I would not only pass the MTO testing but that I had achieved a level of competence employers will be expecting as I take my first steps into the industry.

Thanks once again to everybody at SD for helping me get started in my new career!

As a Graduate from Shaun-David Truck Training School I was fully pleased with my training. Shaun-David has the best teachers that take their time in training their students.  I highly recommend this school if you are interested in learning how to drive a transport truck and get your AZ or DZ license.  I thought everyone there treated you like a family member.  They were always helpful in working around my schedule and they will with you too.  I like to thank the Shaun-David Truck Training School and everyone involved.  For where I am today and tomorrow I will give them the credit for my truck driving skills.  Best to you all.

I would like to thank all the staff at SD for everything they have done for me. The instructors are professional and patient which really helps when you're behind the wheel of a big rig for the first time. I looked forward to learning something new everyday both in the classroom and in the truck. I would strongly recommend SD to anyone interested in a career in the trucking industry.

My Thanks Again

I just wanted to send this email thanking your entire team for the training I received while at the School. From the in-class, to the yard and the driving, I thoroughly enjoyed and was impressed the whole way through. You guys taught me everything I could possibly need to know in the small time frame we were together and I can't thank you guys enough. I will definitely be referring everyone I hear of that is looking for their license your way!

Again, thanks for everything
