Dear Dave, Kathy, Craig, John and Dwayne;
"WOW.....Where do I begin?"
Deciding to become a truck
driver has been a dream of mine since I was a small child and now that
my children are pretty much grown and able to tend to themselves, it
was an awesome experience to be able to graduate from the best school
around....."Shaun-David Truck Training School"!!!
Looking back, the first weekend
attending the Air Brake course with Dwayne was a time of shear terror.
So much to learn and memorize and wondering the whole time, "should I
have taken a mechanics course first"? LOL. You're a wonderful
instructor Dwayne. We all had a great time, loads of information,
tests, games and a lot of laughs. I'll never forget the "governor's
story". LOL. thank you very much Dwayne for your knowledge, patience
and understanding and for everything that you have taught me! (Thank
you as well Dwayne for taking the time out of your busy schedule to
make sure that I was ready for my road test)!!
Classroom and yard work was
spent with Craig....you're also a wonderful instructor buddy. Your
knowledge, patience and understanding was impeccable (and god knows
how I tested your sanity...lol). I am so grateful for everything that
you have taught me Craig, both in the trucking industry as well as the
conversations and laughs that we had that didn't have anything to do
with trucking. Now that I've graduated, I'm sure that you'll be able
to wear your hat on straight without having to bang your head against
the wall anymore. LOL. That being said, I'll be sure to visit as
frequently as I can to throw you off guard! LOL. Thank you so much
Craig for everything that you have taught me!
Driving time on Monday's and
Tuesday's was spent with John....poor John! I'm sure he was wondering
on numerous occasions, "when is she going to get it in her head and
keep it there"? LOL. I truly thank you for your knowledge, patience
and understanding as well John. I know your sanity was also tested at
times with me, but being a wonderful instructor that you are, you got
through it. LOL. I'll never forget the laughs that we had as well and
the one joke that you told me that will forever be my favorite one.
Thank you so much John for everything that you have taught me!
Driving time on Wednesday's,
Thursday's and Friday's was spent with Dave.....poor Dave had the most
driving time with me! I'm sure he was also wondering (along with John)
on numerous occasions, "when is she going to get it in her head and
keep it there?" LOL. I know that your sanity was tested with me Dave
and I'm really glad that you're a wonderful instructor and that you
got through it as well. LOL. I truly thank you as well for your
knowledge, patience and understanding. Thank you for the laughs that
we had as well Dave....the joke of 2 minutes of silence that you were
looking forward too was by far the best one! LOL. Thank you so much
Dave for everything that you have taught me as well!
Whether or not you have a
supportive mother.....Kathy fills that role when you're a student at
Shaun-David. She encouraged me when I was having doubts and gave me a
stern loving kick in the butt when I needed it. I'm so thankful Kathy
for the reassurances and laughs that you were able to give me,
especially when you and Dave were going through such a difficult time
at the loss of your son Andy. Andy's passing had an affect on everyone
and yet everyone was able to continue to uphold the high standards
that Shaun-David Truck Training School not only preaches but actually
practices. thank you so much Kathy for everything that you did for me
as well dear!
I enjoyed my classmates
immensely......Chuck, Bruce, James, Phil and Brad....thanks guys for
the laughs, encouragements and the fact that none of you seemed
bothered with a "girl" being in the group. LOL.
Overall, I had a great time! A
lot of studying, hard work, times of insanity, a lot of laughs and
above all....you have all become an extension of my family now. Thank
you everyone for being a part of this adventure with me! There is
sadness within me in knowing that I will not be seeing all of you
everyday, but I want you to know that no matter where I am or what I
am doing, I will remember and be thinking about all of you and all of
you will be with me always.!!
I was very lucky to have a
wonderful support system not only inside the school but also outside
of the school as well....a special thank you to my family, my friends
and especially my husband who not only supported me 100% in me
following my dreams and telling me everyday that I could do it....but
he also paid for the course! LOL.
Thank again everyone for your
help, encouragement, support and in making it a memorable and great
experience for me! May you all continue to be blessed with great
health, happiness and prosperity, now and always!!
With much love
and gratitude...."Wheelin' To Success".....Hugs to all of you....
